How to measure your pet for a beaded collar/O-ring

When measuring a pet for a beaded collar, please realize it is not the same for a flat collar.

 If you want to slip the collar over your pets head, then you need an O-Ring. This is the most popular choice.

Instructions

You will measure the largest part of your dogs head which is usually just in front of the ears with a soft tape measure. It should not be so tight that your dogs fur bows out. You will put the number to the closest 1/4 inch (quarter inch) during the ordering process. Do not put your fingers between the tape measure and your dogs head. Extra space will be added when your necklace is being create.

***If your pet has a neck larger than his head, then you need to measure his neck

If you want to place the beaded collar around your dogs neck and secure it with a metal clasp here is how you measure

You will measure the place on your dogs neck where you want the collar to sit, with a soft tape measure. It should not be so tight that your dogs fur bows out. Do not put your fingers between the tape measure and your dogs neck. Extra space will be added when your necklace is being create.
